After 7 years of steady growth at the Doberlug-Kirchhain site, the various small cooling units were replaced by a large-scale cooling system from the company Weinreich in Lüdenscheid. 750 kW cooling capacity, which can be almost completely run off in winter via energetically favorable free cooling systems and also has a lower energy requirement overall. With two independent cooling circuits, the plant offers a very high level of supply security with refrigeration for the site. We use the refrigerant R513a, which is 2.26 times more climate-friendly than the refrigerant R134a used in previous systems. The plant also offers expansion potential for further growth of the site.
