Approval for site conversion

In December 2016, almaak international GmbH received the construction permit for the planned conversion of the Krefeld site. The construction of a new logistics center, the expansion of the existing production halls, including an elevation of a roof, the creation of social rooms and staff areas and a new entrance area with a subsequent facade renovation, is planned.

All necessary approvals have been granted after an almost two-year planning and approval phase and so the extensive construction project can begin next year.

The final goal is the expansion of the site by another two production lines. In order to cope with the resulting higher flow of goods and logistical requirements, a completely new logistic concept has become necessary. It will be gradually implemented over the next 2-3 years.
