In April 2022, we already reported on the progress of the installation work for our new exhaust air system at the Krefeld site.
This work was successfully completed this week with the start of commissioning of the plant. So today we can report: “A fresh wind is blowing” through our production halls.
The wet extraction system binds dust and other unwanted air components by means of water injection directly at the extraction point. . This keeps the exhaust air lines free of deposits for a long time and reduces the amount of maintenance required.
The air-water mixture is then separated again in a cyclone. Subsequently, the foreign substances in the water are removed by means of a sieve bath filter and disposed of properly. The water runs in a closed circuit – the plant is therefore optimally designed in terms of environmental protection and resource conservation.
The exhaust air from the plant is then fed into a chimney together with ozone from an ozone plant from Virobuster International GmbH. This method very reliably reduces most of the odors that arise during the production of plastics.
The new plant therefore pleases not only the environment but also our employees and neighbors in the immediate vicinity of our plant premises.
