“Odourtube” Significant odour pollution at the production site and in the environment will sometimes occur during plastics compounding. Virobuster GmbH, a manufacturer of air hygiene and odour elimination systems, offers its “Odourtube” to address this problem – an odour eliminating device that may also be integrated into existing RLT [clean air technology] plant.
According to supplier instructions, the installation of the compact device will be quick and easy, therefore without significant stoppage of production.
The information further states that Odourtube will admix ozone into the polluted waste air. UV radiation (< 200 nm) is used to break down oxygen molecules (O2). This creates free radicals that then react with O2 to create ozone (O3). The radicals created in this way tend to break down all organic components in the waste air (to CO2 and H2O, among other).
almaak international is one of the first users

The company is engaged in the refinement of plastic raw materials into finished compounds. The products are used, among other, in the automobile, electrical, home appliances and furniture industries.
almaak international stated that it succeeded in reducing annoying odours produced in the course of polyamide production by more than 90 percent. This figure was confirmed in an independent test by a company certified under § 26 BlmSchG [Federal Immission Control Act].
